Discover the fascination of our ski touring course for beginners, for all those who want to experience their first ski tour. The tour starts with 1 to 4 people together with our guide through the snow-covered winter landscape.

In this course you will learn the basic techniques such as the correct attachment and detachment of the skins, the ascent with skins, bowing, the hairpin bend and the correct use of the poles.e.

There is something fascinating about being out and about on touring skis in the winter mountains - the crunching snow under our touring skis and the special experience of standing on a mountain.

Experience nature in its purest form on a ski touring course.
Simply enjoy nature in winter! Snowy landscapes, idyllic solitude and a magnificent panorama in the Alps of Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

On our ski tour, nature-loving active holidaymakers can enjoy a unique alpine winter landscape and recharge their batteries in our wonderful mountain world. On our tour there is also a short avalanche seminar with a brief introduction to the avalanche transceiver with probe and shovel.

If there is a refreshment stop on the tour, we will of course take a short break with the guide.

We also offer various tours for advanced tourers.

Equipment

For the ski tour you need:

Ski touring equipment with touring skis, touring ski boots, skins and telescopic poles. (You can also reserve rental equipment when booking. The touring ski equipment as well as rental of avalanche transceiver, probe, shovel is not included in the course price).

Please bring with you: Winter clothing including a change of clothes and a small day pack, gloves, ski goggles or sunglasses, ski helmet (if you do not have a rucksack or helmet, we will provide the missing equipment free of charge).

Suitable for

For all active people who enjoy winter sports.
For beginners and advanced.

Prerequisites

Stamina for a 1 to 2-hour hike. Details will be discussed with the guide
Safe skiing on blue and red slopes
For the advanced course you should be able to ski black slopes safely

Meeting point and procedure

At 09:00 a.m. at Alpen Sport Total, Marienplatz 18, 82467 Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
The time slot for the entire program is from approx. 09:00 to 15:00.
At AlpenSport Total, you will meet your guide and receive your ski touring equipment (touring skis, touring boots and skins). You then take the bus to the base station. After a joint equipment check, the touring course begins.

Once you arrive at your destination, you have the opportunity to fortify yourself with coffee and cake.

After the break, a leisurely descent takes us back down into the valley, where the bus picks us up again to take us to the AlpenSport Total base.

(If you do not have transportation, we will of course be happy to pick you up at your accommodation in the Garmisch-Partenkirchen area).

The guides can change the tour at any time at short notice if this is necessary due to weather conditions.

Frequently asked questions and answers

Is a touring course suitable for everyone?

Yes, if you're in good shape. Of course, it's also uphill. You should be able to ski blue, red and black slopes safely.

Can I take my dog with me on a ski tour?
Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed on this tour. We ask for your understanding.

The time slot is from 09:00 to 15:30.
This tour is conducted in German. If international guests are taking part, the tour will be conducted bilingually (German/English).
